Norcraft Companies, L.P. continues to be at the forefront when it comes to U.S.-based manufacturing, building and finishing of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, a position it has held since the 1960s. The company has a richly extensive line of premium quality cabinetry, where customers can choose from stock and high-end, semi-custom cabinetry in construction that includes framed and frameless. Some of the brands owned by Norcraft include Mid Continent Cabinetry®, UltraCraft®, StarMark®, and Fieldstone®. These brands are marketed throughout the United States, distributing cabinets through a vast system of kitchen and bath dealers, distributors, and sales involving direct builders.
Bernd “Benny” Brennecke started a company called Marshall Millworks in southwest Minnesota back in 1966. The company was the first plant to manufacture Mid Continent Cabinetry. By carefully acquiring quality cabinetry brands and approaching its growth with a clear strategy in mind, Marshall Millworks grew and experienced its evolution into Norcraft Companies. Even as the company’s success grew Benny’s primary philosophy of how to conduct business held true: “Offer good quality cabinetry at an affordable price, and you will get repeat business.”
Contemporary, cutting-edge looks with more than 150 years of collective experience is a key trait of Norcraft Companies. This experience includes comprises a fifty-year celebration of the Mid Continent Cabinetry brand in 2016, and three decades of UltraCraft Cabinetry also in 2016. Each of the brands under Norcraft Companies cabinetry brands either meets or goes beyond all Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) performance standards.
Following Norcraft’s successful IPO, Trimaran ended its investment in the company once it was sold to Fortune Brands.
